I'm a 3rd year medical student at a South African university. I've lived in South Africa all my life (my mom is eighth generation south african) and this country really does have a soft spot in my heart. I'm really interested in rural missionary medicine and there is such a lot of work still to do here!Despite my passion for medicine, the studying does get a bit much sometimes! Sometimes I really do need to just do something to relax and unwind - enter quilting!
To me, quilting is not just about the sewing part, I enjoy every single part of the process from the brainwave, to designing ideas to the eventual quilting! (Except maybe the binding - I could do without that part... :-)
